We might feel like we have been here before many times in recent years, but Ritual Chamber’s take on cave-dwelling death metal really does feel different than obvious points of comparison in Disma, Grave Miasma, and Incantation. Other albums may sound haunting and oppressive, but The Pits of Tentacled Screams actually sounds evil. Atmosphere aside, the riffs here are absolutely devastating and vital, with not a wasted second to be found. How nice would it be to have new Ritual Chamber in 2020?

It was just time. Never suspected this material would be so intriguing as to become preference. Take a closer look at the expanded image while listening to this. Things are not what they seem: there are images within images, and concepts far reaching. After years of periodically looking into this work, only now are the contents partially revealed; hence, the purchase. Can’t imagine what all this would reveal on mushrooms; aah, but that's all in the past now.
